H.E. Mr. Ali A. Jalali, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, visits the Arabic Culture House
Distinguished guests gathered on 15th March 2018 at the Arab Culture House – The Divan to discuss political science with His Excellency Ali A. Jalali, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Federal Republic of Germany, and H.E. Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Ambassador for the State of Qatar to Federal Republic of Germany.
Prior to the ambassadorial role, H.E. Ali A. Jalali served as the interior minister of the Republic of Afghanistan and professor at the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies at the National Defense University in Washington D.C.
In addition, H.E. Ali A. Jalali has worked as a journalist for more than 20 years. His academic research and publications have graced major media outlets across the U.S. and Europe. He has also penned a number of books, and in his latest book, he explores Afghanistan’s political history spanning across 200 years.
At the beginning of the event, H.E. Ali A. Jalali held a lecture on “Scholars and Policy Makers in Politics – Where is the gap?”, where he shared insights and the way forward.
The event was attended by Ambassadors of Lebanon, Kuwait, Algeria and South Africa, other diplomats and representatives of German institutions.

The Arab Cultural house functions as a bridge of communication between the Eastern and Western civilizations. The venue will host events and conferences to facilitate cultural dialogue, build deep and sustainable relations, and celebrate different facets of the Arabic culture.
